Christian Kim is a principal of Dumas & Kim, APC and is certified as a Bankruptcy Law Specialist by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Kim has extensive experience representing bankruptcy trustees, debtors, and secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings in California and throughout the United States.

Mr. Kim handles a broad range of matters arising in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings. His experience includes pre-insolvency planning and counseling, contested bankruptcy asset sales, turnover actions, fraudulent transfer litigation, preference litigation, reorganizations, nondischargeability litigation, objections to claims, and other contested bankruptcy matters.

His representation of trustees, debtors, and creditors provides him with experience addressing bankruptcy matters from multiple perspectives and developing strategies appropriate to the client's particular position and objectives.

In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Mr. Kim provides strategic advice to clients involved in business disputes and represents both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation.

He has handled a wide range of business disputes in state and federal courts, bringing his bankruptcy and insolvency experience to matters in which financial and commercial litigation issues intersect.

Mr. Kim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington and his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

He served on the Board of Governors of the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California from 2010 through 2019. In 2020, the association selected Mr. Kim as its Pro Bono Attorney of the Year.

Mr. Kim is also a member of the Central District Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Association, Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum, and Orange County Bankruptcy Forum.

Mr. Kim is fluent in Korean.
